London, England

Though every seat on the plane was filled, the flight from New York to London was a breeze. After the 14-hour nightmare returning from the Middle East, this was very civilized.

On this journey, I’m traveling with my nephew Scott, his wife Sherrie and their 12-year old daughter Brianna. This is their first overseas adventure. It’s fun seeing a place I know well through fresh eyes.

Our hotel is in the Covent Garden area, in a central location near good transportation, an extensive selection of restaurants and a great place to wander around. After a brief nap, I forced them to go out for a walk (it’s the only way to get onto this time zone). Besides, with only one week, we need to se our time wisely.

We window shopped and looked at London’s fabulous architecture. I’m smitten by it and Scott shares my enthusiasm. Both of us took photos and read the historic markers that tell the history of the building and tell what famous people lived there.

Dinner was in a pub, a must-do for any visitor to the city.

Short entry, but time to go to sleep. It’s been a long day.

All photos were shot in the Convent Garden area of London.
